After three years as a strictly Chinese language magazine the Charitarian has published its first English edition.
The Magazine aims to coverage issues that could be helped by a concerned public.
It aims to bring such stories to the English speaking world for the first time.
Jeremy Nuttall reports. It’s quiet and warm atmosphere at the Face bar and restaurant in Beijing. Dozens of people have arrived for the launching of the English version of the Charitarian, a magazined aimed at bringing attention to serious social issues in China.
Wang Liwei says the purpose of the magazine is not to make money. The purpose is to bring attention to serious issues across China he believes could be solved with the help of compassionate readers.
The English version of the charitarian was launched Friday night at Face bar and restaurant. I caught up with Mr. Wang to ask him about his new venture.
