Rides

SeaWorld® San Diego is filled with rides for young children and older ones alike. No matter the size, there is sure to be a ride at this incredible vacation destination for your child!

1: Shipwreck Rapids

We’re starting big with a small thrill ride! This ride is made for older children, 42” or taller. This is perfect for those warm days to cool off after walking around the park.

2: Oscar’s Rockin Eel

This is a giant ride that looks like an eel. It “slithers”, rocks side to side, and spins. This is perfect for all little ones!

3: Elmo’s Flying

FishCatch some air-time in this flying ride. An Elmo zebra or clown will take your child up and down through the air, sure to bring a smile to their little face.

4: Sea Dragon

DropChildren must be at least 36” tall to ride this, or they must be accompanied by an adult, but this ride is a low thrill ride. It takes riders up in the air, suspends them, and then drops them from the top (don’t worry, it is not that tall).

5: Tentacle Swirl

A huge, jellyfish-themed swing ride? This is a hit with people of all ages, children or adults. Riders between 40”-48” must ride with an adult aged 14 or older, but the ride has double swings for double the fun.

Shows

All the shows are kept short, but there is no less fun or excitement making it perfect for fidgety little children.

1: Pets Ahoy

This is an indoor show with many family-friendly animals. These animals are not very exotic, but through encouragement-based training techniques, trainers create wonderful connections and the animals accomplishments are near limitless.

2:   Ocean Discovery

This outdoor show is lasts about 30 minutes, and is very interactive. Not only educational, this presentation about Orcas (Killer Whales) will teach your child about the Orcas habitats and behaviors.

3: Clyde and Seamore’s Sea Lion High

Two Sea Lion’s named Clyde and Seamore go “back to school” in this show. The entire performance takes place in an aquatic “high school” themed setting. With the fun personalities of sea lions, the fast-paced courses of dance, gym, and science that these two go on will bring lots of laughter to the entire family.

4: One Ocean
Similar to the “Ocean Discovery” show, this show focuses on Killer Whales, or Orcas. However, the splashes in this show will leave the entire family drenched. As the name suggests, this is all about connecting the audience with the life and energy under the sea as well as showing them that we are all part of one world with one beautiful ocean.

Dining and reserved seating is available, so reserve your spots and enjoy a snack as you watch the vivid colors and rhythms of the ocean come alive.
